Our group have demonstrated the first real-time observation of the Brownian motion of superfluid films, as well as both laser cooling and amplification of the superfluid thermal motion, by leveraging the techniques of cavity optomechanics. This work published got published in Nature Physics entitled “Laser cooling and control of excitations in superfluid helium” .
