Born and raised in London, Eleanor completed her master’s degree at the University of Glasgow and subsequently her PhD at the University of Amsterdam, during which she studied interactions between trapped ions and ultracold gases. Despite her love for the three aforementioned cities, Eleanor decided that for a postdoc she would trade their grey skies for the Queensland sun. She divides her time between studying superfluid helium and magnetoencephalography (professionally), and practicing yoga and writing poetry (recreationally).
